How do you choose your books?

We aim to choose rich, high quality literature with wholesome values and an emphasis on good moral character.  The stories we choose are meant to foster imagination with incredible story lines and unforgettable characters! While we do choose stories that cover hard situations, we try to stay away from anything that might be considered very scary, or would trigger painful, traumatizing memories in children.  We also send out a link to our secret parent page once our boxes ship that discloses any content that parents might want to be aware of before reading out loud.

What ages of children are recommended for the book club?

The boxes are designed for children ages 6-12, however many older and younger children still enjoy listening to the read-alouds and participating in the book club activities.  With each book box, we also include a picture book list that goes with the theme of the month, so younger listeners can engage in the book club with the family as well.

Do you have gender specific book boxes?

At this time, we offer one box that is designed to appeal to children of both genders.  

Can the book club be done independently, or does it have to be done as a family?

While the book club can be done independently, it is designed to be done together as a family in order to get the most out of the experience. 

Can I find out what is being shipped ahead of time?

We do not release the name of the upcoming month's book until it has been shipped, but we do release clues in the weeks prior!  Follow us on social media for updates!

How much is shipping?

We have a flat rate shipping cost of $9.95

When will my box arrive?

We ship boxes on the first of the month and they typically take about five days to arrive.

What if I already have the book of the month?

We understand this might happen occasionally.  We recommend either letting your children each have their own copy, or gifting the book to a friend and inviting them to join your club for the month!

I'm with a charter school and would like to order using our funds.  Do you accept PO's?

We do! To pay with a PO, have your school contact email us directly at contact@mylandofstorybooks.com to set up billing and place your order. 

How does re-billing work?

When you sign up for The Land of Storybooks, you will be billed for the total of whichever subscription plan you've chosen (1, 3, or 6 months.). At the end of your subscription term, your subscription will automatically renew for the same term unless you've cancelled.  Re-billing occurs on the 15th of each month.

How do I cancel my subscription?

We're sorry to see you go.  Subscriptions must be cancelled by 11:59PM PST on the 14th of each month to avoid being billed for the next month's box.  If you have any problems, please contact us at conctact@mylandofstorybooks.com

What is your return/refund policy?

Unfortunately we do not accept returns or refunds on boxes.  If an item is damaged, please contact us at contact@mylandofstorybooks.com with a photo of the damaged item.
